The Order is the great and menacing threat New Sheoth faces at the end of every era and is the reason lord Sheogorath wants you to help out. Normal knights only drop their cool-looking Order swords that can have up to 23 damage if in perfect condition. Only the Priests Of Order drop their armor for use. This is the most cherished weapon in the expansion that most people fight to get.
This sword changes form as the sun rises and falls. During the day it's known as Dawnfang and has an amber-colored gem. At night you'll get the notification that Dawnfang has been removed and Duskfang is now equipped, which visually has a violet gem. The special thing about this weapon is that it can be upgraded per twelve kills.
Both versions of the sword have to have twelve kills for it to upgrade and receive another magical buff. The more you kill with both versions of the sword, the more the sword itself is happy and repays you.
It's a magical weapon that needs to be charged to work effectively, and if you miss your killing streak then everything will revert back to normal. This sword can be very powerful, but if you're no killing machine you may have to keep track and pull some strings so that the sword is at its fullest potential. You can get this sword from completing the quest Baiting The Trap located within Xedilian.
You get this quest early on and the sword is looted off a dead body and given to you. You can also retrieve the notes from the warrior who owned it, explaining the use of the weapon. Shadowrend is a magical and deadly-looking sword that literally looks like the shadow of a weapon. You have to fight a shadow of yourself to get it, which uses your own tricks against you. The Shadowrend will either be a blade or an axe, with the same ability to apply Damage Health and Weakness To Magic with damage of up to Find out how to use glory to be able to get more than six demons in your party in SMT V.

The Fringe is a small area which acts as a portal from the mainland of the Shivering Isles. To enter the realm itself, a massive guardian called the Gatekeeper must be defeated. Defeating the Gatekeeper may be a challenge because he has very high defense and attacking power, as he protects Sheogorath's realm from uninvited intruders.
The Hero can choose to team up with Jayred Ice-Veins to help defeat the Gatekeeper although this is not mandatory. The Hero must construct a new one to replace the one they defeated during a later quest. There are several new enemies, which include: three types of mages Heretics , Zealots and Apostles ; the Elytra , a large insect that utilizes a variety of poisonous attacks; the Gnarl , a tree-like humanoid; and Grummites , a primitive frog-like species that is much like the goblins in Cyrodiil, as well as their supposed larval form Baliwogs.
The Dark Seducers and Golden Saints are returning from previous installments in the series as the protectors of Dementia and Mania, respectively. Dark Seducers are skilled in blunt, combat, and light armor, while the Golden Saints are more skilled in blade, magicka, and heavy armor.
Another Daedric creature making its comeback is the Hunger. Using materials found on the Isles called "Madness Ore" easily found with Grummites or in their lairs; used to make heavy armor with high armor ratings or "Amber Ore" easily found with Gnarls or in their lairs; used to make light armor with lower armor ratings than the Madness equivalent and templates for armor called "Matrixes" Matrix , new types of armor can be forged.
Either normal armor can be forged using the Madness Ore or Amber alone, or these can be combined with the appropriate Matrices to form the same armor piece with added magical properties. To get the achievement they will either be required to play through the Shivering Isles main plot line twice with different characters or save the game prior to the moment the critical choice is made and play through this section of the plot line twice.
It is revealed during the course of the main quest that Sheogorath is actually Jyggalag , the Daedric Prince of Order that was cursed by the other princes to become the Prince of Madness, and he may only show his true form at the end of each era, during the Greymarch. At the end of the main quest, the Hero fights and defeats Jyggalag, and is then proclaimed the new Prince of Madness which heralds the beginning of the process of apotheosis.
The Hero receives several new powers including the ability to freeze a battle with the Staff of Sheogorath , to change the weather in the Shivering Isles which provides random stat boosts and a protection spell which teleports the player to safety and healing in Sheogorath's castle when they are near death.
These abilities can only be used within the Isles. They also have the opportunity to call for a dancer, have a Golden Saint or Dark Seducer royal guard escort you and have access to an unlimited supply of combat-based mini-quests that involve defending the Gates of Madness or any of the towns from intruders or wild creatures respectively.
One can choose to perform these quests either by sending their guards gold reward or by taking care of it themselves 1, gold reward. As an end game reward, they are given a set of Sheogorath's powerful enchanted clothing and Jyggalag's sword , which functions as an unenchanted claymore in the Hero's hands. His purpose was to find a champion who would end the Graymarch. The person who would later become Sheogorath's champion would be none other than the Hero of Kvatch , who would kill the Gatekeeper , become the Duke or Duchess of either Mania or Dementia and defeat Jyggalag's Forces of Order while defeating the Daedric Prince himself in single combat, thus freeing him from his curse and allowing him to roam the plains of Oblivion in his true form.
After being defeated, Jyggalag named the Hero of Kvatch the new Daedric Prince of Madness before departing to wander the voids of oblivion. During this time, dialogue with Dervenin suggests that the Isles went into a state of chaos without the Mad God's rulership, as according to Dervenin the Cold Flame of Agnon went dark and that north and south raged war, suggesting a civil war took place.
The Flora and Fauna of the Shivering Isles are a testament to Sheogorath's madness, as the north, known as Mania, reflects the Mad God's pleasure with simple madness and calm obsession. Mania features tall mushroom-like plants and colorful trees, and its fauna reflects these traits as creatures native to Mania are known to have more colorful bodies.
The south, known as Dementia, reflects the darker side of Sheogorath's personality, featuring swamps, bogs and dark forests. All of the plant life of the Shivering Isles are connected to the root system, a series of natural caverns and rock formations that is, in fact, a large living organism that is connected to all of the trees and plants in the Isles. He permits the Hero access after killing an insane dark elf that comes out of the portal to the isles.
Once they kill him, they can enter the portal. The main religion in the Isles is obviously the worship of Sheogorath himself, as many, if not all, houses in the Isles include a small bust of the Mad God, as well as lettuce and string, the favorite playthings of the Mad God.
There are also different opinions on Sheogorath's worship, and the role of the prophet Arden Sul. The Zealot cult believes that Sheogorath is a living god, and Arden Sul was his mortal aspect. While the Heretic cult believes that Sheogorath is in fact a powerful mortal man pretending to be a Daedric Prince who profanes the teachings of Arden Sul.
