Select the game with the same ID number as your Gen 5 game in the first console, then select Yes. Pick the six Pokemon you wish to transfer across then you'll be introduced to a minigame. To complete the minigame, simply drag the stylus around the touch screen to pull the Poke Ball back as if you were throwing it, and pay attention to the top of the screen to see where the ball will end up.
Release the stylus from the screen to throw the ball and if there's any Pokemon hiding in a bush, use a ball to nudge them out of it. When a pink cloud appears towards the end of the game, hit it with a ball to cause al the remaining Pokemon to fall asleep. When the minigame finishes, make sure you select "Yes" to transfer them on to the Gen 5 game, otherwise they'll go back to whichever game they came from.
Thankfully, when you've got your Pokemon onto any of the games above, the process becomes much simpler thanks to the use of Pokemon Bank. Much like earlier with the first two generations of Pokemon games on the Virtual Console, you need a Pokemon Bank subscription to make this work. Make sure you have it downloaded and purchased, then open and sign in to the app. Select the appropriate game from the list above and your boxes from that game will be displayed on the touch screen.
Above that on the upper screen is where you'll see your Pokemon Bank boxes and you can use the controls to move the respective Pokemon over.
When you're done transferring all the Pokemon you want in Pokemon Home, simply save and exit. Now you've brought your Pokemon from any game of your choice all the way to Pokemon Bank, but how do you get them from there onto Pokemon Home and into Pokemon Sword and Shield?
Boot up Pokemon Bank and on the main menu should be the fairly self-explanatory option "move Pokemon to Pokemon Home". On the main menu, select the 3DS icon underneath the Pokedex option.
Make sure you have a premium Pokemon Home subscription, then select Begin Move. When you type it in and hit enter, the transfer will commence and Pokemon Home will become unusable for the duration. When it's done, you can choose whether to bring across all the boxes, or individual Pokemon from each box. Be wary that while Pokemon from Let's Go can be moved to Sword and Shield, they can't then be transferred back to Let's Go; only Sword and Shield have the ability to transfer to and fro.
This will display your relevant save files, and selecting either one will show your Pokemon Home boxes on the left along with your in-game boxes on the right.
Any Pokemon that aren't currently in the Pokemon Sword and Shield Pokedex cannot be brought forward into it though. When Pal Park is first visited, a default high score of will be set by the player's rival either Barry in the Sinnoh games or Silver in the Johto games, using the name the player chose for them.
The score will be given at the end of the Catching Show by the Park Ranger, and is divided into three components:. The Park Ranger always gives the player a Berry as a reward after a completed show; the higher the score, the rarer the Berry. Their friendship is reset to While non-English and non-Japanese characters cannot normally be used in the Generation III games, they do occur in some in-game trades and preset player names.
In addition, the level obtained at is changed to the level arrived at. Due to the lack of a met date in the Generation III games, the date obtained becomes the date it was caught in the Catching Show. Pal Park is a large area consisting of a large park and a small entry building. Entering the building will take the player into the lobby, where they can accept to take part in the Daily Catching Show by talking to the Park Ranger.
There are two floors in the lobby. The first is where registration for the show takes place. The second floor is accessible using the stairs on the right. Many people come up here to see all of the shows, as there are glass windows from which the entire park can be seen. In total, there are seven people within the lobby. It holds almost exactly the same function as Sinnoh's Pal Park. Upon entering, the player will begin in the field area of Pal Park.
There are two patches of grass within the area, a small patch on the east, and a larger patch on the west. There are three different paths the player can take in order to get to another area of the park; the northwestern stairway will take the player to the forest area, the northeastern stairway will take the player through a pathway to the mountain area, and traveling east will take the player to the sea area by jumping off a ledge.
It is a long, narrow strip of pathway following up the far western side of the park, then it takes a right turn up in the corner of the park, and travels east until the player reaches the pond area.
The path is a long, narrow, dark pathway covered by tall trees, with the ground covered all the way by tall grass. The only other way to get to and from the forest area is by traveling through the pond area.
If the player travels south while getting there, they will find a ledge going down into the mountain area. Alternatively, the player can enter from the sea area by traveling north through part of the mountain area to reach the southern part of the waterside, where the player can surf across the light water to the other side.
There is no other way of getting to the pond in the northeastern corner.
