There have been a number of changes to NBA broadcasting booths ahead of the new season. Add Toronto to that conversation. Jack Armstrong and Matt Devlin will continue to work in their previous roles. Williams played with the Raptors from to , and has had a role with the Sportsnet broadcast since , mostly as a studio analyst.
Rautins is a staple in Canadian basketball, serving a number of different roles for the Canadian National Team. However Rautins did not last too long away from the Toronto Raptors, as he announced today on Twitter that he will be returning for the TSN broadcast for the upcoming season. Rautins previously worked for TSN as an in-studio analyst for Raptors games. His role for the upcoming season with TSN has not quite been defined yet.
It will be interesting to see how Williams will be able to adjust to his new role, but it seems like this move can work out for both Williams and Rautins in the end.

Jaws is one of the few guys at that stupid network who actually makes sense!!!!! No controversy here folks, keep moving along, nothing to see. I loved that way that Maguire bagged on Theismann all the time. It was priceless. Espn overrates gruden.
What has he done to get this much pampering from espn. It is a shame that SI. Readers are not allowed to comment on their often controversial articles. However, I expect that Manning will get upset because it sure seems that Irsay is the source for Banks. What a horrible decision. When Gruden said during an instant replay review that the ref should allow the catch it was clearly out of bounds because it was close enough and just was such a great catch, was that a good example of Gruden sharing his vast football knowledge with us?
You kidding me?? Gruden took shots at Jaws every monday night. It was insane, I like jaws more anyways. Gruden can get annoying when I have to listen to him longer than his predraft rookie qb specials are. Whether you like him or not, Jaws brings energy and enthusiasm to the broadcast. Flacco obediently calls three plays, returns to the bench and drinks a cup of water. Gruden made MNF hard to listen to. ESPN moved the wrong guy out of the box.
I think 11 times was the record. I would agree but I have a theory that Gus is only good when the teams are awful. Like a Rams v Bucs matchup. It would sound out of place if he energized a Steelers v Ravens game. Jaws is just one that annoys me the most, He is completely incapable of looking at the Eagles objectively. He is very, very bias….. Your not alone. Theisman was great at breaking things down and brought a certain class thats been missing for a longtime.
You guys are all pathetic. You are a joke. Get off tv. It had every single color commentator on it!! Where is the list that has the best color commentators? I forgot. Roll of the eyes. Football fans are full of a bunch of trolls. Looks like Jay Gruden and the Bengals will keep getting inside info on every defense in the league! Who really cares about this, with all the promotion and commercials, football on TV is a really tough listen.
Radio analysts are able to expand their thoughts. Listening to the Super Bowl this year in my car was a delight. Every situation covered in detail. I may never listen to another TV broadcast again. I just wish they could sync the signals. It is so refreshing that Esiason can even call out Brady when need be.
No fluff and real opinions unlike the TV dudes. Just my two cents. Anyone who is a true fan of the NFL recognizes that he is a great and knowledgable analyst. NFL Matchup is the best show for the true fan. Another 20 or so firings and they might one day get it right. This is a relief. I always thought he over emphasized everything during the game that he probably decided on before the game started.
I still recall the 1st time he saw Flacco play on MNF. It was embarrassing. Rarely have I turned the volume down, I had to that day. Lets face it. All the others are just a yawn. Great news something else Jaws could not do add that to the very big list. Another Pilly player gets his wings cliped Back the the Polka for Jaws.
Now if Fox would get rid of mr baseball and the brain dead guy from dallas life would truly be great. Trent Dilfer is a Tard.. I mean come on they let even Millen broadcast for them, and the man knew nothing about broadcasting, or football. Geeezzzz, he even built an team and thought he was knowledgeable about football, and then ESPN must have thought so too, and gave him a job. Jawrorski is 10 times worse than Millen ever was. How many studio analysts is that now? And, please no Dilfer. Tirico is constantly making rules mistakes and Gruden adds nothing.
Bring back Mike Patrick. Its about time. He was truly an awful commentator. With that being said, they removed the wrong analyst from the booth IMO.
His voice is annoying. I liked listening to Jaws. Very sad now. One down, one to go. Addition by subtraction. Perhaps he can be replaced with a Muppet version of Ron Jaworski? Bring back Tony Kornheiser!!!! Thank god. Jaws does have a nice Golf Course near Philadelphia! I actually liked Jaws. By far, the best news of the young off-season. Gruden as solo analyst?
Good lord, is MNF going to be completely insufferable next year. We barely knew ye. All of them talk too much.
