Or would it automatically shut off 30 seconds after I lock the car? Are we talking about 35w and 55w output from the car? Or the ballasts? Yes, directly to the battery but when powered down the relay will also shut off the lights even if left on, but you need to confirm this on your own. It works on my MIL's Gen 1. Either 35 or 55 watt ballast will use the same relay system.
